TEACHING
AND TRAINING ACTIVITIES
The Institute is affiliated to the Rajasthan Ayurveda University,
Jodhpur for teaching, research and examination purposes and follows the
syllabus and curriculum prescribed by the Central Council of Indian Medicine,
the statutory regulatory body for Indian Systems of Medicine in the country as
adopted by the University.
The Institute imparts Under-Graduate (BAMS), Post-Graduate (MD Ayurveda) teaching and training and also provides facilities for regular Ph.D.

The
Under-graduate Course, Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and
Surgery) is of 5½ years duration (4½ years of the main course and 1
year internship). The main course is
divided into 3 Professional Courses of 1½
years duration each. The admission qualification prescribed by the University
of Rajasthan is Senior Higher Secondary
examination in Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and Sanskrit or Uttar
Madhyama of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya with Science and English or
any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
Wherever provision and facilities for teaching Sanskrit as optional
subject is not available at the 12th standard, the students admitted
from Science-Biology stream are taught Sanskrit in the main course.
The annual admission capacity to BAMS is 92 .Reservation to
SC,ST,OBC and PH asper the rules of Government of India is
availavable for Indian nationals. Admission Notification is made on all India level and after
conducting an Entrance Test, candidates standing in the highest merits are
admitted in the Institute.

Monthly stipend to UG, Internship, will be Rs. 8900/- No DA.
| 2. Post-Graduate Course of MD( Ay.) |

The PG Course, MD (Ayurved) or Ayurved Vachaspati /Ayurveda Dhanwantary (MS(Ay.)) is of 3 years duration divided into two Parts. At present the Institute is imparting the Post-graduate course in the following 14 subjects:

Admission to the PG Course is made from the Merit prepared on the basis of a Joint PG Entrance Test of Objective Type conducted by NIA and IPGTRA for which Notification is made on all India basis in leading National Dailies and also on the Websites of NIA and IPGTRA. The Notification is normally issued in March-April.
Though the Number of Seats approved is 104 spread over 14 Subjects, it will depend upon the Teacher-Student Ratio as approved by competent authorities and as notified in the Admission Notice for the respective Academic Session or that may exist at the time of Counseling/Final Admission stage.
1 Seat in each Subject is available for Central Government Nominees sponsored by the Department of AYUSH. 3 Seats are reserved for candidates sponsored under BIMSTEC Quota of Government of India (i.e. for the Candidates of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand). Candidates for these Seats are sponsored by Indian Council of Cultural Relations through the Department of AYUSH. Reservation for In-Service Candidates, SC, ST, OBC and PH is also available for Indian nationals as per Government of India orders.
The Institute provides handsome Stipend to its PG Scholars to meet their expenses for the day-to-day living, educational needs etc. Following are the Stipend given in the Institute. DA is paid on Central Government Rates:

Second Year Rs. 16,950 Plus DA

Admission to the Fellowship Program is made on the basis of a Test and Interview for which Notification is issued on all India basis and also on the Website by the Institute. This Notification is normally issued along with PG Notification in March-April.
The Number of Seats for the Fellowship Program is 2 in each of the 9 Subjects. 1 Seat is reserved for Candidates from Sri Lanka.
The Research work done under the Fellowship Program may be considered for award of Ph.D. on the satisfaction of the Institute and as per rules of the University.

Admission to this Diploma Course is made by the Rajasthan Ayurved University on the basis of Marks obtained in the essential qualification required. The University notifies it in State level Newspapers and also on its Website. Necessary reservation is also available and the Fees is as decided by the University. This Course is open only to Indian nationals.
Monthly Stipend to Diploma Interns Rs. 500 No DA
Panchakarma Attendant Course - 20 Seat
A Panchakarma Attendant Course of 3 Months duration is available. 10 Seats are reserved or SC Candidates and another 10 Seats for other Categories like General, ST, OBC and PH. Admission is made after inviting applications by notification in Newspapers in the State of Rajasthan. This Course is open to Indian nationals only.
